This new wizard-driven approach to setup can reduce the time – by up to 75% – that it takes to create and refine your accounts structure; even if you’ve never designed a chart of accounts before.
Talking your language
QuickStart will be particularly helpful to smaller organizations, which may not have as much technical or accounting knowledge available in house. It simplifies the initial stages of creating your accounts structure, by automating and breaking the process down into easier steps that relate to how your business operates, rather than using detailed accounting or software terms that you may not be familiar with.
Ready-made accounts
Setting-up FinancialForce Accounting has never been easier. QuickStart provides straightforward, pre-defined steps for each stage. If you don’t already have any companies set up in your accounts, you can choose from a range of ready-made chart-of-accounts structures, to use as a base for yours. In addition to a generic company template, there are also sector-based templates for an even closer match to your operations and focus, including:
- IT/High Tech
- Professional Services
- Media
- Medical Services.
For example, the Professional Services template will enable users to account for specific aspects of their business, such as consulting revenue, whereas the Media template would focus on different aspects, such as advertising sales.

Saving you time
QuickStart massively accelerates the initial chart of accounts setup for each company – it makes it possible to complete most of the basic work in just 15 minutes, followed by a number of more comprehensive setup steps for specific areas (such as your bank accounts, exchange rates and accounting periods), which will typically take around three hours.
